Celebration of the life of Allan Horsfall

On Saturday 20 October 2012, CHE sponsored a celebration of the life of Allan Horsfall, founder and Life President of CHE, in the Banqueting Room at Manchester Town Hall. The event, on what would have been Allan’s 85th birthday, was compered by the author and performer Peter Scott-Presland, who is writing the official history of CHE.

Ray Gosling, journalist, broadcaster, friend of Allan since 1961
Paul Fairweather. Manchester City Councillor
Martin Stafford, early CHE activist and writer on moral philosophy
Chris Bowden-Smith, Assistant General Secretary of CHE during the 1970s
Andrew Gilliver, Campaigns and Engagement Manager of the Lesbian and Gay Foundation
Peter Naughton, former Vice Chairman and Treasurer of CHE
Michael Steed, academic, expert on elections, and sometime Chairman of CHE
Rev Dennis Nadin, sometime CHE Executive member, founder of the Reach group for gay Christians
Ross Burgess, current CHE Executive member, working on the LGBT UK History Project.
